Sharing my enthusiasm for music with others is an integral part of my creative practice. I have taught courses at the University of Chicago and Cleveland Institute of Music, ranging from introductory non-technical classes to a year-long sequence in ear-training and music theory for music majors. I enjoy speaking with audience members and working with student ensembles.
I offer private lessons for young people and adults in composition, song writing, music theory, and arranging. I also offer a course that combines beginner piano studies with music theory and composition so that students can foster a holistic connection among technique, theory, and creativity from the beginning of their musical studies.
Please contact me if you would like to learn more about seminars and talks I offer or studying music with me.
