Sharing my enthusiasm for music with others is an integral part of my creative practice. I have taught courses at the University of Chicago ranging from introductory non-technical classes to a year-long sequence in ear-training and music theory. I enjoy speaking with audience members and working with student ensembles

I offer private lessons for young people and adults in composition, song writing, music theory, and arranging. I also offer a course that combines beginner piano studies with music theory and composition so that students can foster a holistic connection among technique, theory, and creativity from the very beginning of their musical studies.

Please contact me if you would like to learn more about studying music with me.

In February 2020 I taught a Listening To Music course for high school students
